Kazz Tamura
For this week’s feature, we’re headed to the Bay area to chop it up with the homie Kazz. When it comes to fitteds, it’s gotta match the fit for this guy. He’s grown his collection over the years and has an eye for detail. Let’s learn more about his world of fitteds.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and when you fell in love with fitted caps?
I first fell in love with fitteds when I was in high school in 2008 before they were putting side patches on hats. I remember going to my local Hat club in the mall and buying tons of different fitteds to match all of my Jordans.
How many caps do you currently have in your collection?
I currently have around 150 hats in my collection.
When shopping for a new cap, what draws your attention?
When I look for a new hat, I usually seek ones that are interchangeable with my wardrobe.
Do you have any crazy stories or adventures for trying to purchase a cap?
I don’t really have any crazy purchasing stories because I do most of my shopping online.
What cap have you been reaching for the most lately?
One of the hats I wear the most is a Rangers hat designed by @nohonati.
Are there any caps that you’re still on the hunt for?
Currently not looking for anything specific as I’ve been slowing down a bit on buying as many fitted hats.
Last, is there anything you want to see more of when it comes to fitted hats?
I would like to see more collaborations with the public, as many of the best crowns are made by the consumers!
